The writers-directors of "Half-Nelson" (which starred Ryan Gosling as a drug-addled high school teacher) and "Sugar" (one of the great contemporary sports movies) return with an adaptation of the Ned Vizzini novel. Buckling under intense academic pressure (maniacally driven parents, take note), a teenager checks into a mental health clinic. And yes, reportedly, it's kind of a funny story. Keir Gilchrist, Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, Zach Galifianakis and Viola Davis co-star.
