R. Kelly will perform at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago this summer.
(February 1, 2013)
Bjork, R. Kelly and Belle and Sebastian were announced Friday as headliners for the 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival.
The Chicago summer fest will have a little “je ne sais what” from its headline acts, which span a range of tastes and sounds, as befits the indie festival.
The announcement of the power trio included the giddy notation that the fest is "incredibly excited" about the acts, which ramp up the event’s star power.
Tickets are on sale now for the festival, which runs July 19-21 at its traditional location, Chicago’s Union Park. Three-day passes are $120, and single-day passes are $50.
The complete lineup will be announced at a later date, and more information is available at the festival's website.
