‘Despicable Me 2’ boosts original’s DVD sales; ‘Jack’ takes No. 1

Publicity preceding last week’s release of “Despicable Me 2” carried over into DVD sales for its predecessor. Three years after its own theatrical release, Universal’s “Despicable Me” cracked the top-10 DVD sales chart at No. 9 for the week.

“Jack the Giant Slayer” topped the sales chart for the second week in a row, while Disney’s “Oz the Great and Powerful” took the top spot in rentals.

Here are the top-selling titles for the week that ended June 29 and the most-rented titles for the week ended June 30, according to Rentrak.
