The Jackie Robinson biopic “42” scored the top spot on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart in its first week in release. The film, starring Chadwick Boseman and Nicole Beharie, outpaced “Evil Dead,” this year’s remake of the tongue-in-cheek horror classic from 1981.

“Identity Thief,” the raunchy comedy with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, was the No. 1 rental in its seventh week in release.

Here are the top titles for the week that ended July 20 for sales and July 21 for rentals, according to Rentrak.
