TV ratings: ‘America’s Got Talent’ wins, ‘SYTYCD’ wraps season
“America’s Got Talent” easily won Tuesday night with its 12 finalists delivering a round of performances before Wednesday night’s eliminations. Next week is the finale.
The NBC talent contest drew a rating of 2.2 in the advertiser-desired 18-49 age demographic in prime time, making it by far the highest rated telecast of the night, though its number was down 8% from last week.
The stats for “Talent” are likely to change later in the day because of President Obama’s 15-minute address on the conflict in Syria at 9 p.m. EDT. “Talent” aired from 9:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. because of the speech.

NBC’s new trivia show “Million Second Quiz” won its 8 p.m. time slot among 18- to 49-year-olds with a 1.5 rating and brought in 5.81 million viewers. Its key demo number fell 12% from its Monday premiere, which was marred by a crashing mobile app that was supposed to let viewers play along.
Fox’s finale of “So You Think You Can Dance,” also interrupted by the presidential address, was flat from last week with a rating of 1.4 in 18-49 and up by 2% in total viewers. The two-hour “SYTYCD” drew an average audience of 4.3 million. It’s key demo rating fell 13% from last year’s finale.
The show has been picked up for an 11th season.
ABC News’ “Crazy, Stupid Luck,” a special edition of “20/20” focusing on lotto stories, drew a 0.8 rating in 18-49.
CBS was playing all reruns.
