Leading off prime time, the politically incorrect freshman comedy "Dads" drew an average of 3.8 million viewers and a rating of 1.5 in the key 18-49 age group, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen. The
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine," the surprise Golden Globe-winner featuring
NBC beat Fox,
ABC's freshman comedies had a rough night without an original "S.H.I.E.L.D." "The Goldbergs" shrunk 17% in the demo to a 1.5 (but still had more viewers overall than any of Fox's comedies), while "Trophy Wife" dropped a bit to a 1.0, its lowest number ever. The low-rated "Killer Women" was flat with last week's 0.7.
