“Under the Dome” was flat in ratings but couldn’t be topped Monday night. Not even close.

Monday night’s episode of the CBS thriller series drew 10.3 million viewers and a rating of 2.4 in the key 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen.

The series, based on the Stephen King novel about a small town trapped under a mysterious transparent dome, was easily the highest-rated and most-watched telecast of the night, beating its nearest competition, NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior,” by 5 million viewers.

CBS won in ratings and viewership Monday with 6.18 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. Second place in ratings was NBC, followed by ABC, where the only original was “Mistresses.”

“Under the Dome’s” 18-49 rating was flat with last week, after it saw a double-digit drop-off from the prior week. CBS is still in a carriage dispute with Time Warner Cable that has left its channels dark for 3.2 million subscribers in Los Angeles, New York and Dallas.

“American Ninja Warrior” got a rating of 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic, down from last week. Also on NBC, “Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls” fell to a 1.2, but “Siberia” increased 11% in total viewership to 1.95 million viewers.

Fox was in all repeats.
