Golden Globes: Rami Malek is stoked about ‘Mr. Robot’ wins — and that hug from Jon Hamm

For Rami Malek of "Mr. Robot," the victory was in the competition.

"A year ago, I would have never expected this to happen,” the 34-year-old said as he exited the InStyle/Warner Bros. after-party and stopped to share his exhilaration, for his acting nomination and for the awards won by his show, in the best dramatic TV series category, and his castmate, Christian Slater, for supporting actor in a TV series.

"For the show to break through in this way, for Christian to win and for me to have this acclaim is pretty special."

Malek then added: "I got to go up against Jon Hamm — someone I've respected for so long — and he hugged me and congratulated me. It's been a win all the way."
