Oscar Watch: 'Django Unchained'

Quentin Tarantino's revisionist history skills, last seen in "Inglourious Basterds," return in this spaghetti western slave drama. The film has surpassed box-office expectations, ringing up $147 million stateside along with five Oscar nominations, including for best picture, original script and supporting actor Christoph Waltz.

The film features Christoph Waltz as a German bounty hunter who partners with the slave Django (Jamie Foxx) to find the men who sold him and his wife (Kerry Washington) to different plantations. Leonardo DiCaprio co-stars as an evil plantation owner.
