Join “American Horror Story” goddess Jessica Lange for a live chat at 11:30 a.m. Friday Pacific time.

The two-time Oscar-winning actress, known for such films as “Cape Fear” and “Big Fish,” has recently solidified herself in the TV genre since joining forces with Ryan Murphy. The 64-year-old actress has become a fixture in Murphy’s FX anthology series, “American Horror Story.”

She earned acclaim and awards recognition with her first-season stint as meddling neighbor Constance Langdon. Last season, she upped the fear factor with her portrayal of Sister Jude Martin, the stern head nun — with a sinister past — running a mental institution. It’s an intense role in which her character endorses castration, electro-shock therapy and backside paddle lashings — and yet one that compassion can also be found in, surprisingly. It was all enough to earn her yet another Emmy nomination — can she win again?

We’ll talk to Lange about being Murphy’s golden girl, the challenges of playing for chills, and what we can expect in the upcoming witch-focused third season, in which she’ll return.

Of course, we want you to join in on the fun. If you’d like to pose a question, tweet me at @villarrealy or use the hashtag #askLATimes and we’ll do our best to get to them.
