Rock 'n' roll bad boy Billie Joe Armstrong, the frontman of the popular skate-punk band Green Day, was back in Los Angeles on Tuesday after being hopitalized in Italy. The band was forced to cancel its show in Bologna over the weekend when Armstrong was rushed to the hospital.

Shortly afterward, bandmates Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool released a YouTube video apologizing for the cancellation but not alluding to the nature of Armstrong's illness.

"We're beyond devastated, we're as sad as you guys are. Billie is extremely upset about it," said Cool in the video, which now features pop-up text that reads, "Billie is better again :)"

The nature of the singer's ailment is still unclear, but TMZ released video showing Armstrong arriving at LAX and mouthing, "My voice is gone," which definitely makes sense when in comes to canceling a show.

Although it could just be that he didn't want to talk to the paparazzi.
