Amy Winehouse ex Blake Fielder-Civil in coma after reported binge

Blake Fielder-Civil, ex-husband of Amy Winehouse, is reportedly on life support after he was rushed to a hospital Friday morning in West Yorkshire, England, with multiple organ failure and placed in an induced coma.

The recovering drug addict’s girlfriend, Sarah Aspin, found him in bed Friday morning, choking on his own vomit, after he’d staggered home from a drinking binge the day before, according to MTV.

“I’m praying he’ll survive, but I’m having to prepare myself that he may never wake up,” Aspin, mother of Civil-Fielder’s toddler son, told the Sun.

Civil-Fielder, who’d been released from jail recently after serving time for burglary, reportedly met with a probation officer before going drinking with a friend.

“He’s never really been a drinker, but when he got home with this friend, he was slurring his words and staggering — I thought he was on something,” Aspin told the Sun. “I was very angry because he’d been doing so well.”

“Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him,” Mitch Winehouse, the late singer’s dad, tweeted Friday. “Let’s pray for his recovery.”
Winehouse, who granted a divorce from Fielder-Civil in 2009, died July 23, 2011, of accidental alcohol poisoning. Fielder-Civil was once quoted as saying he’d gotten the smoky-voiced singer into crack and heroin.
