Brooke Shields dishes on losing virginity to Dean Cain, ‘tortuous’ wait

Brooke Shields lost her virginity to Dean Cain at age 22 and is writing all about it.

Yes, before her husband Chris Henchy, before ex-husband Andre Agassi and before JFK Jr., Liam Neeson and George Michael there was a future Superman.

The former child star made the revelation in her new book, “There Was a Little Girl,” which expounds on her relationship with her overbearing mother Teri Shields.

But it’s her romantic exploits that are being dubbed “Brooke’s Bombshells” by People magazine, which is revealing one big secret a day from its cover girl. (The actress talked about her rocky marriage to tennis star Andre Agassi too.)

Shields, now 49 and a mother of two, had previously expounded on the importance of staying a virgin in her teen memoir “The Brooke Book” at the behest of her mother. She also goes as far as saying that her mother had a major impact on her first time, which took place with Cain while they were in college.

The former Calvin Klein model and Cain met at Princeton University and were “instantly crazy” about each other. They were, she writes, “always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss, but poor guy, I made him wait.”

“I think it was more tortuous for him because I was used to shutting that part [of me] off,” she said of her sexuality, adding that she was focused on her omnipresent mom and it “felt as if she was watching.”

The pair slept together when “The Blue Lagoon” star was 22 but the whole experience overwhemed her.

“I actually kind of tumbled off [the bed] and started running,” she wrote. “I was buck naked streaking down the hallway and running like I had just stolen someone’s wallet.”

And he ran after her (with the comforter). Just picture that for a second...

Back to Brooke: The experience had been confusing for the actress, who wrote:

“I didn’t know where I began and where my mother ended. And that meant I didn’t know how to fit Dean in.”

The couple broke up soon after and when she reached out to the 48-year-old about including the incident in her memoir, “he said ‘As long as you’re happy with it, I’m comfortable with it,’ ” she said. “There’s nothing sordid about it. He’s such a good guy and a sweet human being.”

The “Lois & Clark” alum also addressed the tale and their sex life on Fox411 on Thursday.

“Brooke was a very big part of my life, and I’m honored to have been a part of her life,” he said. “If she chooses to write about it, that’s fine with me.”
