David Arquette and girlfriend Christina McLarty have a new baby boy, which means 9-year-old Coco Arquette is now a big sister.
Son Charlie West was born around half-past noon Monday in L.A. and weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces, according to People, which first reported the news.
"Mom, dad and baby are doing well," the actor's rep told the magazine.
Arquette, 42, and McLarty, 33, met in 2011 and have been an on-and-off couple, at least in part because he's based in L.A. while she operates out of New York. In November, they announced they were expecting a baby.
McLarty, who was previously married to "Girls Gone Wild" honcho Joe Francis, has been a correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight."
Arquette was married to Courteney Cox, and together they are parents to Coco. His most recent movie, the Civil War drama "Field of Lost Shoes," screened for audiences in Richmond, Va., earlier in this month.
We'd love to include a pithy or mushy quote that dad posted on Twitter, maybe with a newborn-baby picture, but we can't: Arquette quit the social-media site last June and hasn't come back.
"I shut down my Twitter because people are just cruel," he told Katie Couric late last year. "They're just mean on social media, and that all stems from people being mean to them, when they were younger. ... I feel like we just need to be kinder to people, and I try to."
And now he has a new little soul to treat kindly.
