Eva Longoria confirms she’s dating Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez

Touchdown: “Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria has bagged herself the one of the hottest young quarterbacks in the NFL.

Longoria, 37, confirmed she’s dating Mark Sanchez, a 25-year-old New York Jets player.

“Mark and I are, you know, fine. We’re happy just dating,” Longoria told her pal Mario Lopez, stopping by the magazine show “Extra” to discuss her role as co-chair of President Obama’s reelection campaign (video below).

Despite their chummy status, Lopez didn’t take it easy on Eva — he waved a New York Post at her with a headline suggesting she and the athlete were hooking up. Lopez will probably still land a Christmas card.

Longoria’s last relationship, with Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo, ended in June. She was previously married to basketball player Tony Parker.

As for Sanchez: He’s 25 and a prince of New York, so the love interests may be plenty. He’s been linked to Hayden Panettiere and model Kate Upton, and previously dated “Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

Sanchez’s biggest actress crush was Jennifer Aniston, but we’re sure that’s changed. And given Longoria’s fondness for steak, we’re sure she’s thrilled with her new beefcake.
