The NBC News special correspondent, who's the younger daughter of former President George W. Bush and Laura Bush by a whole minute, shared the news on
Although about 50,000 viewers had suggested paragliding, parachuting in West Virginia, going on a Skycoaster or attempting the Top Thrill Dragster ride, Bush Hager and baby daughter Mila switched it up with the real upcoming adventure: There was a "baby sissy" on the way.
"What's in there?" the 33-year-old asked her first daughter in a too-cute video. "Baby sissy ... baby sissy ... yaaaa!" the toddler said about Mom's belly before trying to figure out how to deliver a kissy to her future sissy.
The "Today" crew had hugs and flowers for their colleague, and a tool belt full of baby gear for Henry Hager, who'll be even more outnumbered by the ladies at home.
"Some people will do anything to get out of a roller coaster ride," Matt Lauer joked.
"You know what, though, this is the biggest roller coaster ride there is," Bush Hager replied. "Having kids."
The pregnancy is about 20 weeks along, and the couple shared the news with the Bushes -- make that Grammy and Jefe -- the day after Christmas, People reported.
Apparently, mommy and daddy are keeping Mila in the loop, explaining the whole baby thing to her.
"[S]he'll say, 'Hi baby!' to my stomach," Bush Hager told the magazine. "She is very precocious. I think she'll be a great big sister but there may be a learning curve. She definitely likes attention!"
Mila turns 2 next month. Jenna and Henry have been married since 2008.
