Josh Duhamel posts cute pic with son Axl in matching soccer gear

The U.S. soccer team lost to Germany in a World Cup match on Thursday, but fans of all things cute do have a consolation prize: a pre-game photo Josh Duhamel posted of himself and son Axl wearing matching team jerseys.

“GO #USA!!! (or a Portugal/Ghana tie would be fantastic) #USMNT #LetsDoThis,” the “Transformers” actor cheered in his Twitter caption.

Axl Jack Duhamel was born Aug. 29 to Mr. and Mrs. Duhamel — mom Fergie legally changed her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel a couple of weeks before her son made the scene.

Other celebs rocking their Team America Heck Yeah gear Thursday included Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Biel and Will Ferrell, the last of whom crashed a Team USA fan event in Recife, Brazil, and promptly drove everyone insane with excitement. Robert De Niro, meanwhile, was just looking for a place to watch the game.

Despite the loss, the U.S. men’s national team will move to the round of 16 as will winner Germany. Also, about that Portugal-Ghana game Duhamel mentioned? Ghana scored only two goals in its victory, not the four it would have needed to push the U.S. team out of competition. So, um, go, team!

In its next match, the U.S. faces Belgium on Tuesday night.
