How much trouble is Justin Bieber in this time around? The pop singer was served with a search warrant Tuesday morning at his Calabasas mansion and detained, along with seven others in his house, while about a dozen law enforcement officers did their thing.

Part of that thing was arresting someone in Bieber’s entourage on suspicion of felony drug possession, L.A. Now reported. According to TMZ, that someone was Bieber’s buddy rapper Lil Za and the drug was cocaine, and a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said the drugs were in “plain view” during the search and not connected with Bieber.

“Let’s just wait [for the analysis] and see, but we’re fairly certain it’s a controlled substance,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.]

The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into an egging incident that occurred Thursday night, L.A. Now said. The victim, who reported the incident to the authorities as it was happening, is Bieber’s next-door neighbor. During the search, authorities reportedly were seeking possible surveillance-video footage that might link the pop star to the egging.

The sheriff’s spokesman said at a press conference streamed live by TMZ after the search that Bieber was not questioned at the scene regarding anything except standard search-warrant inquiries and would likely handle any questioning through his attorney later.

There was an estimated $20,000 in vandalism damage to the front of the neighbor’s house from the egging, TMZ reported, which puts the incident well into felony range (that’s over $400).

Part of the incident, which includes profanity, was captured on grainy video shot by the neighbor and obtained by TMZ. The neighbor was reportedly home with his daughter at the time it all went down, and in the video he shouts to her to call the cops.

The incident is only the latest in a long string of run-ins between Bieber and his gated-community neighbors.
