Khloe Kardashian is apologizing to fans for canceling a book signing after falling ill.

“Dolls! So sorry I needed 2 re schedule my book signing,” she tweeted and wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “I’m sick &dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong.”

“I’ll be going for more testing today,” she continued. “I’m very sorry again. Stress can run our bodies down so please everyone take care of yourselves.”

The “Strong Looks Better Naked” author, 31, didn’t disclose what might be the culprit, but later thanked fans for their understanding.

“I’m reading all of your tweets + messages on my Facebook.... seriously u guys give me strength! I love and appreciate you more than u know,” she wrote.

TMZ reported that the reality star likely contracted a staph infection while spending time in husband Lamar Odom’s hospital room. Kardashian’s rep did not immediately respond to the Los Angeles Times’ request for comment.

However, the site, along with E! News, said that Kardashian has a painful lesion on her leg, a high fever, swollen glands, is sweating profusely and has intermittent chills.

A source told E!, which airs her reality series, that she “has an minor infection and is being treated by her doctors. She is run-down as she has been burning the candle at both ends. She will be fine, but needs some rest.”

Odom, the former NBA star, has been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles since October after being found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel. Kardashian, who called off her long-running divorce from the basketball player to facilitate making medical decisions, has frequently been at his bedside. She has also done several interviews to promote her memoir, though updates on Odom’s ever-changing condition and her relationship with Houston Rockets star James Harden have stolen the headlines.

“He is off of all machines that help his organs, but still he has such a long way to go. He’s learning how to walk again and feed himself again, put sentences together,” Kardashian said on Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
