Lea Michele and new boyfriend Matthew Paetz have been photographed out in the world together, giving the first public evidence that she's moved on from "Glee" costar Cory Monteith, who died almost a year ago.
The two were snapped a week ago while walking together and later going on a hike in Los Angeles.
The relationship is "nothing too serious, but they're really happy," a source close to the actress-singer told ABC News on Friday.
In either case, these days he's toting the label "dating and lifestyle coach" instead. And while Paetz now seems to be getting Michele out and about, she hasn't exactly been in hiding either.
In May, she released a book, "Brunette Ambition," and did the attendant publicity rounds. Then late June saw her hitting the beach -- and the waves -- decked out in hot pink for a learn-to-surf event in Cabo San Lucas.
"For a long time, Lea wasn't close to even thinking about getting into a relationship," a source told People on Friday. "Cory's death was and will continue to be a struggle for her."
Still, things do seem to be looking up.
Also -- another "Glee"-related news item breaking Friday turned out to be untrue. A tweet that appeared to be from Chris Colfer declared that the actor was leaving the Fox series for "personal issues."
But fans need not worry: The account had simply been hacked, his rep told Show Tracker. And 20th Century Fox jumped in as well, saying in a statement, "Rumors of [Colfer's] dismissal from 'Glee' could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."
