Game over: Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez no longer an item

Looks like Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez’s romantic scrimmage is over.

Longoria confirmed she was casually dating the New York Jets quarterback in mid-September, but it seems conflicting lifestyles have caused a rift.

“Mark adores and respects Eva,” the athlete’s rep told Us Weekly. “It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends.”

“He likes to go out and have fun,” the report adds, citing a Longoria source. “She’s more focused on her career and her philanthropic work.”

Longoria and Sanchez made headlines in New York papers for popping up around town hand-in-hand, something her close pal Mario Lopez teased her about on his magazine show “Extra.”

“Mark and I are, you know, fine. We’re happy just dating,” Longoria said at the time.

Eva was last linked to Eduardo Cruz, younger brother of actress Penélope Cruz. They parted ways in June. Sanchez has been linked to actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and model Kate Upton.
