After not being spotted in public together for a month, Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo have ended their two-year relationship, according to a number of reports.

“This has been a sensitive matter and both of them still love and care about each other and only want the best for one another,” a source told E! News on Tuesday, confirming the split. On Friday, the outlet was being told they were still together, just having ups and downs.

Also on Friday, Jonas himself told ABC News that his relationship was good.

“Long distance is always tough, and dealing with that is always an interesting thing, but it’s all good,” he said. “We’re both busy and young and enjoying life, so, it’s going well.”

Asked whether he and the former Miss Universe had any plans to work together, the “Jealous” singer said, “For right now, we’re just kind of taking it one step at a time.”

Entertainment Tonight” first reported the breakup news late Monday, with one of its sources noting that the two were both in New York City but staying in separate hotels and another describing Culpo as “heartbroken.”

The last time they were photographed together was at the Billboard Music Awards on May 17. Things had been rocky for a while, a source described as a Culpo insider told Us Weekly on Tuesday.

Jonas and Culpo met in June 2013 when he co-hosted the Miss USA pageant, where she turned over her 2012 crown to 2013 winner Erin Brady. They were spotted out on a date that August, and by December they were trading love notes on social media around the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, where once again she gave up a crown to a new winner.
