Nick Lachey, Vanessa Lachey welcome a baby daughter, their second child
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey welcomed a baby girl on Monday evening, making 2-year-old son Camden a big brother.
“I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl,” Vanessa said in a post from the couple on her website. She referred to her daughter’s birthday as “the day I would meet my best friend.”
Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey clocked in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces, at 5:17 p.m. and was 21 inches long. Her brother was a little heavier when he arrived in September 2012, but the same length.
“I can’t even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time,” the “Dads” actress wrote.
The Lacheys told the world in July that they had another kiddo on the way, revealing her gender at the same time.
The star of the upcoming A&E docuseries “Lachey’s Bar” -- about the sports bar Nick and his brother Drew Lachey opened last Thursday in Cincinnati -- married the former Vanessa Minnillo in July 2011 in a lavish celebration on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
Those festivities were captured for a TLC wedding special.
