Back off, folks: Pink’s OK with ‘healthy, voluptuous, crazy strong body’

Pink took to Twitter on Monday to let the world know she feels pretty. Oh, so pretty. And if you don't agree, she doesn't particularly care.

Pink doesn’t think she’s less than perfect, people — so please stop worrying about, and commenting about, her weight.

The 35-year-old singer, who doesn’t hold back on displays of physical strength in her performance acrobatics and music videos, had a few strong words on Twitter for people who were slamming her body — truly nasty stuff — after she was photographed on a red carpet Saturday.

“I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight ... ,” she wrote, explaining that she’d worn the ankle-length black dress with the plunging V to an event where a friend was being recognized for her efforts in the fight against cancer. “But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you.”

“While I admit that that dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty,” the “Just Give Me a Reason” singer said. “In fact, I feel beautiful.”

Separate from her statement, she posted a picture of herself in the dress, holding hands with daughter Willow, in what appeared to be the picture taken in her kitchen ahead of the event.

“Willow said to me the other day whilst grabbing my belly-’mama-why r u so squishy?’And I said..’b/cuz I’m happy baby,’” she captioned it.

Her husband, Corey Hart, seems happy too. She explained in another tweet, “my hubby says ‘it’s just more to love baby’ (and then I smack his hand off my booty cause we’re in a supermarket).”

And getting back to that statement: Pink wrapped it up with a word to the wise that we can only imagine had more profanity in it when it was swirling through her mind in draft form.

“So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me,” she wrote. “I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either:) ... I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.”

Mmm. Cheesecake ...
