Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott open the door on their sex life

If rumors are true that Tori Spelling insisted on doing “True Tori” to publicly humiliate cheating husband Dean McDermott, then she seems to be succeeding in her mission, if a new preview for the reality series is any indication.

Embarrassment is in the air when the couples counselor is bluntly saying things like, “Dean, your expectations of what a marriage is supposed to be like sexually, it’s like a fairy tale.” And seriously, could there be any more room between these two on that couch?

We hear in the clip (via E! News) that 47-year-old McDermott is, by his own admission, “insatiable” when it comes to sex.

“We have four kids, so in the sex department there were ebbs and flows. Is that safe to say?” McDermott asks his wife.

“We had a great relationship, and we had a great sex life,” she says.

Turns out “great” is in the eye of the beholder, however, as he counters with, “We would have sex once every two weeks. It wasn’t fantastic.”

The two have been married since 2006.

By this time in the clip, Spelling, 40, admits she’s mad. And why not, given her man’s explanation when she asks him why he cheated with this woman specifically? (The gal in question is Emily Goodhand, who came out publicly with the story on her own in December.)

“I wasn’t attracted to her,” McDermott explains. “It was just, like, a warm body.”

Ziiiiiing to both women, yes?

This all after another clip, hosted by Radar Online, showed Spelling driving tearfully to the couple’s first counseling session.

Turns out she had been really excited about seeing McDermott but had questioned those feelings, saying it made her sound “weak.”

“I miss having my best friend,” she says for the camera. “I miss having that support, that person that’s your go-to in life. And that was just stripped from me. I had it for seven years, and it was just gone one day.”

Clearly, any sympathy in editing is erring on Spelling’s side.

The show, which began filming shortly after McDermott left rehab earlier this year, will follow the couple through their marital crisis after he was discovered cheating in December. It premieres at 10 p.m. Tuesday on Lifetime.
