Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Cara Delevingne’s twerking video

Share

Angels were twerking backstage at the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” and model Cara Delevingne has the video evidence of the dance made viral by Miley Cyrus.

“I was saving this ass video until last!” Delevingne said Tuesday on Instagram. “Take it away @doutzen @joansmalls @victoriassecret check out the #VSfashionshow playing tonight! X”

Silk robe-clad Angels Doutzen Kroes and Joan Smalls are the ones who do the deed while the 21-year-old English model sings Major Lazer’s hit, “Bubble Butt.”

She of the thick eyebrows and the inexplicably popular thigh-gap shot the video back in November, when the show was recorded, but held it until the program aired on CBS on Tuesday night. The broadcast, up from last year, garnered its third-largest audience ever and was the top program among adults ages 18 to 49, according to CBS and Nielsen’s early ratings.

It’s fitting since the heavenly hotties talked social media before opening the “Pink Network” segment of the hour-long broadcast. The Angels donned heart-shaped glasses against a backdrop of ever-changing emoticons for the pre-recorded package that aired during the show.

“All of the models that are in the show tonight are literally the rock stars of social media,” producer and creative director Ed Razek said. “It’s crazy how many followers they have. Collectively it’s in the tens of millions. One of the reasons the brand is so well-known worldwide is because of their social activity.”

Models Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge and others took all sorts of selfies backstage and were sure to promote the evening’s official hashtag, #VSFashionShow, which was used plentifully by the models back in November and again on Tuesday night.

“It’s a great way to get stuff out there,” said Prinsloo, 24, fiancee to Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. (It should be noted that Levine adorably gave her a standing ovation or couldn’t wipe away his ear-to-ear grin whenever she walked the runway.)

“I feel like I’ve deleted stuff [on social media] before but I can’t remember what it is,” the Namibian model laughed. “I haven’t had like a shocking moment that I had to get my agency to say, ‘Get that off’!”

The models said they post a balance with family, work, charity, positive quotes and sometimes things they shouldn’t (“tweegret” and “instashame.”)

“You can just go on Google and see my butt anyway,” said South African Angel Swanepoel, 25, who modeled this year’s ruby-encrusted $10-million Royal Fantasy Bra.

“I would die without Instagram,” Taylor Swift’s “bestie” Aldridge, 28, said in the segment. “I pick up my phone at least every three to four minutes. It’s part of the job.”

But Delevingne was deemed “the most fearless poster” by her comely compatriots Ambrosio and Prinsloo.

“She’s remarkably powerful in social media,” Razek said

There’s “so much freedom, there is no boundary, you can say whatever you want and everything explodes,” Delevingne said. “I don’t think about it, I just do it.”

Cue that twerking video and a few other naughty selfies from the show.

“In one second I could screw up everything I have. It’s like one big red button,” she said, mimicking the sound of explosion when she touched her phone.

But she posts anyway.

“Life is too short for ‘instashame,’” she said.
