‘Victor Frankenstein’ trailer, now with more bromance between Victor and Igor

Share

Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy are starring in a movie adaptation of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” that seemingly has very little to do with Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” But the fabled monster story has been adapted and re-adapted so many times, what’s wrong with a steampunky bromance version with Harry Potter?

The first trailer for “Victor Frankenstein” has been released and the footage is all about pals Victor and Igor and their many high jinks digging up dead things and bringing them back to life. And it looks like Vic takes things a little too far, and now it’s up to Igor to put the pieces back together.

Directed by Paul McGuigan and penned by Max Landis, the official summary for this film lays out the groundwork for this great bromance:

“Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protege Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.”

Not mentioned in the summary is “Downton Abbey’s” Jessica Brown Findlay who plays character Lorelei, but no word on what her motives are just yet. Guess we’ll have to wait.

“Victor Frankenstein” will premiere in theaters on Nov. 25.
