HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) -- Actress Angelina Jolie is being sued over her own movie by a Croatian journalist who claims she stole the storyline from an article he wrote.
Journalist and author James J. Braddock is accusing Jolie of stealing the plot for "In the Land of Blood and Honey" from an article he wrote in 2007.
The movie, written and directed by Jolie, is a fictional love story about a Serbian soldier and Muslim woman who become separated during the 1992 Bosnian War.
Braddock, who also named Los Angeles-based production company GK films in the lawsuit, is asking a jury trial to award him damages.
"In the Land of Blood and Honey" hits theaters December 23.
