Who they are: Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage, right) is at the heart of this series about suburban life in the 1960s and 1970s. His dad Jack (Dan Lauria) works for a defense contractor, while his mom Norma (Alley Mills) is a bubbly homemaker. Older siblings include Karen (Olivia d'Abo), a hippie who clashes with dad, and loser Wayne (Jason Hervey). On-and-off girlfriend Winnie (Danica McKellar) and best friend Paul (Josh Saviano) are also fixtures in Kevin's life. What the kids like: Watching Kevin and his friends grow up. All the schoolkid trials and tribulations apply: dating, gossip, cheating and more. What the parents can't get enough of: Aside from the rich story, Kevin's life is set to the backdrop of major events like the Vietnam War, the moon landing and assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
