Long dismissed by critics, Katy Perry is nonetheless a ubiquitous force in pop music. But she's considered a singles artist; in 2010 she ruled the airwaves with both California Gurls and Teenage Dream. Perry, though, gets the last laugh as her full-length, Teenage Dream received a nomination for album of the year, where she will compete against Arcade Fire, Eminem, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga. Her three other nominations are all in major categories, as well: best female pop vocal performance, best pop collaboration with vocals, and best pop vocal album.
