‘Bachelorette’ Andi Dorfman and beau Josh Murray split up

Apparently Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray were taking one for the team when they appeared together Monday on the red carpet at “The Bachelor” premiere: The two have split up.

“After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways,” the couple said in a joint statement that characterized the split as a mutual decision.

“We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what’s best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best.”

Dorfman, who went from being a “Bachelor” contestant to headlining the most recent season of “The Bachelorette,” chose Murray over Nick Viall in the series’ July finale. Previously she’d nixed Iowa farmer Chris Soules, who is now “The Bachelor.”

Talking to People at the premiere event Monday, the lawyer-turned-fashion designer dodged questions about the wedding that’s no longer in the works.

“I think now that all of this is starting again, it’s time to take a little break and make a little home in Atlanta and figure it out there,” Dorfman told the mag on the red carpet.

“I would definitely have some of the girls from my season in my wedding, at my wedding. There’s definitely some girls that I’ve kept in good contact with — they’re some of my best friends.”

So when Dorfman finally does marry, it looks as if some of the other bachelorettes will be there, but the bachelor will be different.
