Jennifer Lopez tells Chelsea Handler she’d like to remarry

There’s something about Jennifer Lopez’s love life that never gets old. Despite three divorces and three major flings, she seems to be a romantic idealist at heart. And, seriously, it’s super cute.

The “I Luh Ya Papi” singer stopped by Chelsea Handler’s E! talk show “Chelsea Lately” on Thursday to chat about who she’s dated, what kind of men she prefers and what the future holds -- you know, all that good stuff.

Handler began by asking J.Lo about her romantic game plan, specifically if marriage was on the horizon. “I would get married again,” the 45-year-old singer said. “Why not?”

To recap Lopez’s history: She first married chef Ojani Noa (1997-98), then back-up dancer Cris Judd (2001-03) and later singer Marc Anthony (2004-11), with whom she had twins Emme Maribel and Maximilian Muniz, now 6.

In between marriages, J.Lo notoriously dated music mogul Sean Combs (1999-2001), actor Ben Affleck (2002-04) and dancer Casper Smart (2011-14). She most recently shut down rumors linking her to former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

“I like being in a relationship, I do,” Lopez said. “I’m not one to whore around and stuff like that, that’s not my thing,” she said, cracking up with the audience.

Once the two got themselves together, Handler changed the subject to J.Lo’s upcoming film “The Boy Next Door.” In the R-rated thriller, set for release in January 2015, Lopez plays a divorced woman entangled in an affair with a teenager (Ryan Guzman).

Handler asked J.Lo if she preferred dating younger or older men. “I date mostly my age, but then I dated one younger guy,” Lopez said, referring to the 27-year-old Smart.

“So you have no preference then,” Handler said.

“I just go on a connection with a person.” Lopez said. “I don’t really plan things out, they just happen.”

To which Lopez quickly added with a snicker, “Maybe I need to plan better.”
