Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have ended their engagement, more than three years after he popped the question.

The actress, 35, and the Muse singer, 36, who are parents to 3-year-old Bingham, “have been separated for some time now,” her rep told People on Monday.

She didn’t lose this guy in 10 days, however: The two are still close friends and “committed co-parents,” the rep said.

Indeed, Hudson told E! News in November that Bellamy would be part of her Thanksgiving celebration, a family gathering of more than 20 people. The couple did a red carpet together the Friday before the holiday, attending her mom Goldie Hawn’s inaugural Love In For Kids fundraiser.

The two began dating in 2010, and Bellamy proposed in April 2011, with Matt Lauer the first to spy the big rock on Hudson’s finger about a week later while she was on “Today” promoting “Something Borrowed.”

“This is new!” she confirmed on the “Today” show when he quizzed her about the ring. “I haven’t really announced it, I was waiting for someone to notice.”

Bing was born about three months later.

Hudson was married before to Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, who’s father to her 10-year-old son, Ryder. That union ended in 2006.
