Katie Holmes goes topless for Glamour, reveals ‘Frozen’ frequency

Katie Holmes loves her denim — and seems not to mind going topless for magazines.

The “Dawson’s Creek” alum has done another nude spread, this time for the August issue of Glamour, which she covers in an all-denim ensemble. She also sat down for a chat with fashion designer and friend Zac Posen, a contributor to the magazine.

Shocked? Don’t be. It’s not the first time Tom Cruise’s ex-wife has bared her top half. Holmes went au naturel in the April issue of Allure and did a topless ad campaign for Iris jewelry.

Shot by Tom Munro, Holmes does three covers for the Glamour: the aforementioned all-denim one and two others. Inside the mag is where Holmes can be seen in high-waisted jeans and nothing else. The actress hides her cleavage with her arms and gives the camera her signature crooked smile.

Holmes, who looks to model-actress Lauren Hutton for wardrobe inspiration and has become a casual fashion icon in her own right, dished with Posen about her style. (Guess what: Her favorite wardrobe staple might be the same as yours.)

“I do like to buy my own clothes because I like to support designers,” the 35-year-old said. “I know the work that goes into it. I have a tightly edited closet. I like what I like. And I repeat a lot. But I’m always comfortable in jeans — I feel like I can really do anything when I’m in them.”

Think sophisticated peg-legged jeans and comfy T-shirts. Incidentally, earlier this year, Holmes and celebrity stylist Jeanne Yang closed out their 5-year-old women’s fashion line Holmes & Yang, which aimed for just that.

“I learned a greater appreciation for the craft of cutting a silhouette that makes a woman look as feminine as possible. That’s difficult to achieve,” she said.

The actress said she’s “really focused on motherhood and work right now” (via E! News) and elaborated on her relationship with daughter Suri, 8, whom she had while she was married to Cruise.

“Motherhood is the greatest gift. When I became a mother, my life completely changed,” she said. “I’ve seen ‘Frozen’ a lot. But the biggest change? I think you don’t know — I didn’t know how much love I had in me. It’s overwhelming. Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of.”

Holmes will next appear in August’s big-screen adaptation of Lois Lowry’s novel “The Giver” alongside Meryl Streep and Taylor Swift.

“Being in a movie with Meryl Streep was a huge dream come true. When the cameras rolled, she was spot-on and such a pro,” she said. “It was just a thrill to walk on set with her.”
