Lana Del Rey, Courtney Love set for Endless Summer Tour in 2015

This makes all kinds of sense.

Lana Del Rey, the polarizing torch-pop singer with a head full of ideas about celebrity’s dangerous allure, will tour next year with Courtney Love, the indefatigable grunge survivor who’s spent the past quarter-century living out those ideas.

The so-called Endless Summer Tour is scheduled to launch May 7 in Texas, according to a statement from Del Rey’s representative, and travel across North America. Love will open about half of the dates announced Monday, including a May 18 stop at the Hollywood Bowl. (Tickets for that show go on sale Saturday.)

Del Rey has been a regular concert presence in Southern California this year, with gigs at Coachella, the Shrine Expo Hall and Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Her latest album, “Ultraviolence,” came out in June and entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1.

After reviving her band Hole for an album in 2010, Love released two songs under her own name this year, both reportedly from an upcoming solo record.
