Nominated for supporting actress: "Neeever, not once! It's just wonderful," said McTeer when asked whether she had expected the film's overwhelming success. "It's like a big birthday present. It's so exciting that we're here. Glenn [Close] said she's more excited than she's ever been. It's her passion project." Playing a man, she added, "was hugely intimidating -- sometimes when people play cross gender parts, you don't necessarily have to believe they are fellows. Shakespeare is the first that comes to mind. But the nature of this film, is you have to believe that everyone believes that character is a guy. There's no sense of humor about that in the film. So that's an added pressure."
