Snow White | 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' | 1937

Royal by blood or marriage: By blood. And after her jealous stepmother, the Queen, feeds her a poisoned apple, Snow is awakened from her cursed sleep by a kiss from another royal, the Prince.

Proof she's a princess: A warbly singing voice that attracts both songbirds and princes. And, of course, she's the fairest one of all.

Adorable sidekicks: Although Snow White is frequently aided by a host of woodland creatures, her truest sidekicks are not animals but, rather, seven small-statured men who give her shelter in their cottage in exchange for domestic services, which she happily performs while whistling.
