The Flash Flashpoint causes more complications as Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) is perplexed by the dreams he has about being Kid Flash. Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes also star. 8 p.m. KTLA

NCIS: New Orleans A Navy SEAL candidate is murdered shortly before graduation, prompting Pride (Scott Bakula) and the team to examine the training methods. CCH Pounder also stars and Steven Weber reprises his recurring role as Mayor Hamilton. 10 p.m. CBS

Soundbreaking The new episode “Painting With Sound” visits recording studios where groups including the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac created popular music using magnetic tape and multitrack recording. 10 p.m. KOCE and KPBS

Shooter A retired Marine sniper (Ryan Phillippe) is recruited by his former commander (Omar Epps) to prevent an assassination attempt on the president of the United States in the premiere of this new series version of a 2007 feature film based on a novel by Stephen Hunter. Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise This new miniseries from Henry Louis Gates Jr. traces the last 50 years of African American history. In the premiere Oprah Winfrey, the Rev.
