Audiences eagerly awaiting comedian Maria Bamford’s upcoming Netflix series got some very good news in a very amusing way late Monday night.

Best known for her stand-up comedy that features popular impressions of both her mother and her agent, Bamford has also made notable appearances on FX’s “Louie” and Netflix’s “Arrested Development.”

Bamford will star in the series, as well as serve as an executive producer for the single-camera comedy, which will include several elements inspired by the comedian’s life, along with a few surreal elements as well. Pam Brady (“South Park”) and Mitch Hurwitz (“Arrested Development”) join Bamford as executive producers.
