While much of the United States battles winter weather, the Sports Illustrated 50th-anniversary swimsuit issue will have you ready for summer.

The cover, revealed during the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show on Thursday, features models Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge striking a provocative pose in the Cook Islands near New Zealand.

Their names might not sound familiar now, but the swimsuit issue has helped launch the meteoric rise of models such as Kathy Ireland, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum.

“Getting to be on the cover, we’re all going to be household names,” said Aldridge, 28, who is appearing in the magazine for the first time. “It’s incredible what it does for your career and where it can take you.”

This is the first time since 2006 that multiple models have been on the cover of the magazine.

Though their image will be seen by millions, the models were in the dark about the cover of the magazine.

“It’s the ultimate surprise, and it’s the best feeling in the world right now,” said Teigen, 28, who is married to music star John Legend.

“Nothing is going to compare to this,” she said. “This is pretty epic.”

The issue will be available on newsstands next week.
