The purr-formance: A smooth-talking tomcat, Thomas OMalley; the classy white Parisian feline, Duchess; and three kittens, Berlioz, Toulouse and Marie star in this animated film (the last approved by Walt Disney before his death in 1966). Duchess and her kittens are stranded in the French countryside after her owner's butler kidnaps them upon hearing the owner plans to leave all of her wealth to the cats. The cat's meow: Thomas, voiced by Phil Harris, is the cool alley cat. He's suave, a good dad and loves music. He's the kind of cat -- and male -- many aspire to be, and shows the world that every stray has a hidden talent. -- Susan King
