'Point Break'

'Point Break' Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves headline this 1991 thriller stylistically directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Reeves plays Johnny Utah -- who makes up these names? -- as a former college football hero who works in Los Angeles for the FBI. The bureau is at wit's end over a series of bank robberies pulled off by a gang called the Dead Presidents -- they wear masks of the late commander-in-chiefs. Utah's partner (Gary Busey) thinks the robberies are being committed by surfers because of a tan line on one of the robbers and also a piece of hair left behind is filled with contaminates from a local beach. So Utah ends up infiltrating the gang that is lead by Bodhi (Swayze sporting super blond hair). If you don't listen too hard to the rather numskull dialogue, "Point Break" can be a fun ride.
