Who they are: In this politically incorrect comedy, stand-up comedian Bernie "Mac" McCullogh and his wife, Wanda, take custody of his sister's three children after she's sent to rehab. What the kids like: The kids like the kids, but laughs ensue when Mac's old-school parenting clashes with their upbringing. Mac, though sometimes tough, became a father figure that viewing audiences would enjoy having around. What the parents can't get enough of: The show transcended race and class and mixed in laughter and compassion as Mac struggled with keeping his new household afloat. It was also a critical and popular favorite in its early seasons, peppered with Mac breaking the fourth wall and addressing the audience from time to time.
