Russell Simmons and Brett Ratner face new allegations of sexual misconduct

'Signs' (2002)

Gibson was eager to work with director M. Night Shyamalan. "I thought 'The Sixth Sense' was as good a movie as you could ever see." Gibson had an eye-opening experience on the set, though, when Shyamalan told the star he was "doing too much," Gibson says. "Shyamalan is part of a generation that is quicker on the uptake. Working with him and Joaquin Phoenix, who has something very pure and economic in his acting, I felt prehistoric. I got some minimalism in the movie but afterward didn't want to act anymore. It wasn’t ringing my bell. That's changed now. I've changed. At least I hope so."
