Garth Brooks' big refund

Garth Brooks is getting his money back and then some after a charity donation gone wrong. The country music star gave Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital $500,000 in 2005 for a new women's center to be built in his mother's name, but it never happened. In the end, the hospital was forced to pay Brooks $1 million (half punitive, half damages according to the Tulsa World.) Despite the debacle, Brooks hasn't given up hope. "One day Mom's name is going to go on the women's center right there where the hospital is," he said outside the courtroom. "But that hospital won't be owned by Integris when it happens, I can tell you that. That's my dream."
