By Patrick Kevin Day Two movies. One weekend. Most will assess their success on box office tallies. We consider the films' finer points: star power, quotability and all-around coolness. May the best film win. Talk about a divided American public! This week we have two very successful film franchises that couldn't be more dissimilar. The third installment of Disney's wildly popular and very wholesome "High School Musical" series opens on the big screen for the first time while at the same time, the fifth annual installment of the "Saw" series brings us more torture, more screaming and more blood and guts than even the toughest horror hound could possibly stomach. Surely, these two films will have zero audience overlap, so a simple box office matchup won't be telling. We have to look at the other factors to determine which of these two sequels will extend its franchise and which will put a nail in the series' coffin.
