Stardom Ferrigno He became an overnight sensation as the Hulk side of Dr. David Banner (Bill Bixby) in the 1978-82 CBS TV series and subsequent TV movies. Actor Richard Kiel (best known as Jaws in the Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker) was hired to play the part and even began the pilot. But it soon became apparent that the 7-foot-plus Kiel had the height to play the Hulk, but he didnt have the physique. So Ferrigno was brought in to replace him. Norton He made his film debut as the young man accused of a brutal murder in the 1996 thriller Primal Fear, for which he won an Academy Award nomination for supporting actor for his chilling performance. He earned his first Oscar nomination for lead actor as a skinhead in American History X. His hit films include The People Vs. Larry Flynt, Red Dragon, Fight Club and The Illusionist. He also directed the 2000 comedy Keep the Faith. Winner: Though more people probably have seen Ferrigno as the Hulk, Norton outmuscles the bodybuilder career-wise.
