The Kentucky native begged her parents to let her live in the Big Apple for a summer, hoping to break into the industry at 14 years old. As luck would have it, Lawrence was discovered by a talent agent one summer day in New York. She later moved to Los Angeles to launch her career and was cast in the TBS sitcom "The Bill Engvall Show" (2007). While still acting on the program, Lawrence found time to star in indie drama "The Poker House" (2008), pictured above, as young Agnes, who struggles to survive despite a strung-out mother, a pimp father and a home flooded with gamblers, thieves and johns.
