'The Muppets'

In 2008, Jason Segel (who revealed his love of puppets in the comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall") and director Nicholas Stoller pitched Disney on a new Muppet movie and received the go-ahead to write the script. Rather than inserting the Muppets into another story, Segel wrote an old-fashioned Muppets film in which the gang has to put on a show to save their theater. Like all the Muppet movies, the new one features a long roster of celebrity cameos, including Billy Crystal, Lady Gaga, George Clooney and James Carville.
