2006-10: Spacek's television career has taken off in recent years. Her performance as a retired art teacher who takes in a foster child in "Pictures of Hollis Woods" earned her a Golden Globe nod in 2006, while she could take home an Emmy this year for her role as Washington D.C. lobbyist Marilyn Densham in "Big Love." Her latest film "Get Low," about an old hermit ( Robert Duvall) who throws his own funeral, is earning rave reviews. Spacek plays his old flame, widow Mattie Darrow.
